Great experience, which I can recommend without hesitation. Especially for eCar owners, as there are no more services where HU was automatically involved. Booked an appointment for the afternoon in the morning. My Tesla was picked up and returned after approx. 1/2 hour. Absolutely uncomplicated. Suspiciously many perfect reviews can simply mean that the boys have simply hit the nerve of the times with a pick-up service. A simple idea and service that the mass of other workshops can't/do not want to deliver. Negative reviews are rather suspicious, which also make no sense and are usually played by the competition.

Both TÜV Hessen and we are carrying out the main inspection (HU). It is no longer the case that this can only be carried out by TÜV Hessen. In addition to TÜV Hessen or, for example, the motor vehicle expert office Hix GmbH, organizations such as KÜS, GTÜ, DEKRA and others are also recognized as approved inspection bodies.

Why was HU introduced?

The safety inspection ensures that your vehicle is and remains safe, roadworthy and environmentally compliant. It must therefore be carried out by an approved monitoring body or testing body.

When is the HU due?

The deadlines are uniformly regulated nationwide:

  • New cars (passenger cars): initial inspection after 3 years
  • All other vehicles (cars, motorcycles, trailers): Every 2 years
  • Vintage cars: Also every 2 years, sometimes different regulation according to §23 StVZO

How often does my vehicle have to go to the main inspection?

The next date can be found on your HU sticker or in the registration certificate part I. In the case of a new car (passenger car) that has been registered for the first time, the first HU is only required after 3 years. After that, the HU must be carried out every 2 years.
