Book an appointment

First, you book your periodical vehicle inspection online. To do this, select your desired date in the calendar. You will then receive a confirmation email from us.

Safety inspection

As a partner of KÜS, we carry out the safety and emissions inspection (HU/AU), just like what you are used to from other testing organizations. If you pass the inspection, your car will receive the new inspection sticker.

Debriefing

Great experience, which I can recommend without hesitation. Especially for eCar owners, as there are no more services where HU was automatically involved. Booked an appointment for the afternoon in the morning. My Tesla was picked up and returned after approx. 1/2 hour. Absolutely uncomplicated. Suspiciously many perfect reviews can simply mean that the boys have simply hit the nerve of the times with a pick-up service. A simple idea and service that the mass of other workshops can't/do not want to deliver. Negative reviews are rather suspicious, which also make no sense and are usually played by the competition.

Do you have any questions? We have the answers

TÜV service center near Frankfurt Griesheim or HoldeineBadge?

The “TÜV” is the Technical Monitoring Association — it includes several sub-organizations that are authorized to carry out the HU in Germany. These include TÜV Hessen, TÜV Süd and TÜV Nord. However, there are still other approved testing organizations today: These include KÜS, GTÜ, DEKRA and others.

HolDeinePlakette is an official partner of KÜS — this means: The HU you get from us is legally equivalent to that of TÜV Hessen, for example. We carry out the inspection exactly in accordance with the requirements of §29 StVZO — including emissions testing (AU) and issuing badges.

Why does HU exist anyway?

During the safety inspection, it is checked whether your vehicle meets the legal requirements, which makes an important contribution to road safety on German roads.

When does my vehicle have to go to HU?

The legal inspection periods apply throughout Germany — and also in Frankfurt-Griesheim:

  • New passenger cars: First HU after 3 years
  • All other tests: Every 2 years
  • Motorbikes & trailers: Every 2 years
  • Vintage car with H license plate: in accordance with §23 StVZO

You can find the due date:

  • On the sticker on the back license plate (month at the top, year in the middle)
  • In the registration certificate part I (vehicle registration document)
  • Or use our free reminder service via email

Important: Anyone who oversteps HU risks fines & points. So it's best to plan your next appointment early — around 1 month before it expires.

How often does my car/motorcycle/trailer have to go to HU?

Usually every two years. We're happy to help you keep an eye on your next appointment. However, you can also find the period on your current sticker and in your registration certificate.

What do I need to bring to HU in Frankfurt-Griesheim?

In addition to your vehicle, only the registration certificate Part I (vehicle registration document) and any installation certificates and general operating permits.
