No — but almost. TÜV Hessen is just one of the approved testing service providers in Germany — together with GTÜ, DEKRA, KÜS and others. Both we and TÜV Hessen, of course, are allowed to carry out the HU (“main inspection”).
HolDeinePlakette works as a certified expert company mbH and is a partner of KÜS, but is legally independent of TÜV Hessen or other testing organizations.

Nevertheless: The inspection quality complies with the same legal regulations — § 29 StVZO for HU and § 23 StVZO for classic cars — and the sticker is valid as at TÜV Hessen.

No - HolDeinePlakette Frankfurt and TÜV Hessen in Offenbach and Hanau are two different testing organizations. HolDeinePlakette in Frankfurt is a partner of KÜS and carries out legally equivalent safety inspections as TÜV Hessen.

HolDeinePlakette has its own test centers, for which you can make an appointment for your HU online on our website. It is not possible to book appointments for other testing organizations via our website.

The “TÜV” is the technical monitoring association — it includes several sub-organizations, such as TÜV Rheinland, TÜV Süd and TÜV Hessen, which are authorized to carry out the HU in Germany. In addition to the TÜV organizations, there are other testing organizations in Germany that have an equivalent license to carry out the main inspection on the car. This also includes KÜS.

HU is the abbreviation for the classic main inspection. AU stands for exhaust gas testing and is usually part of the HU of the car. Both abbreviations are often mentioned together as HU/AU to illustrate that the costs relate to HU and AU.

No - HoldeinePlakette is not a car repair shop but an engineering office that operates numerous automotive inspection centers. We do not repair cars but test them in accordance with §29 StVZO as part of the safety inspection (HU/AU).
